It is incredibly easy to come to Ikaria. We have prepared a quick outline of the most common ways you can reach Ikaria but if you need more information, just download a comprehensive Ikaria Travel Information Sheet at the bottom of this page.
BY PLANE
You can fly to Ikaria from Athens (35 minutes flight) by Olympic Air or both from Thessaloniki or Limnos by Astra Airlines. Please visit their websites and find the flight that matches your preferred time. If you book slightly in advance, you can find really economical tickets.
If you would like us to meet you at the airport, just email us your flight details.
BY BOAT
If you prefer a boat, you can depart both from a range of cities in Greece, including Athens and Thessaloniki. The travel time is around 9 hours, depending on the boat and if it stops at nearby islands too. If you would like to book a ferry ticket, please visit aktoploika.gr and find the one that suits you. Make sure your final port is at Agios Kirikos, the capital of Ikaria which is just two kilometres from our pension.
If you plan to travel during July and August, it’s best if you have booked several days or weeks earlier to avoid hitches. You should also know that round-trip/return ferry tickets come with a considerable discount. Again, you can check our travel information sheet that will help you plan your journey.
And yes, if you need a ride from the port, let us know as we can meet you there and get to the pension quickly.
